Mining
Summary: Mining is a Life Skill that allows adventurers to gather ores from mining veins found throughout the world. Collected ores can be used for equipment crafting, gear refinement, and armor enchantment. All ores obtained through Mining are tradeable.
Location
Talk to Carlin Stonebreaker to learn the Mining activity.
Learning Mining
To begin Mining, Carlin Stonebreaker will ask you to collect the following materials:
- 20 Iron
- 10 Coal
After collecting the required materials, talk to him again to receive a Pickaxe.
Note
- Requires Base Level 30.
- Mining is an account-wide activity. You only need to complete the quest once.
- The Pickaxe can be stored in Kafra Storage.
How It Works
Mining veins can be found in many field maps throughout the world.
Equip the Pickaxe and click on a mining vein to begin mining.
Your character will continue striking the vein until its HP reaches 0, similar to attacking a monster. All mined items are automatically looted into your inventory.
Warning
- Your Pickaxe has a 2% chance to break while mining.
- You cannot attack while a Pickaxe is equipped.
Types of Veins
There are 4 types of mining veins that can be gathered using a Pickaxe.
Mining veins spawn randomly throughout the map. Each vein has different durability and contains unique rare materials.

Gold Vein
Platinum Vein

While mining, destroying a vein has a 6% chance to spawn a Minering, which may drop additional ores and gemstones.
