Basic Controls

Summary: Learn the basic controls, camera movement, keyboard shortcuts, and interface features used throughout Comodo Party.

Keyboard and Mouse

Comodo Party is primarily controlled with the mouse. Most actions, such as moving, interacting with NPCs, attacking monsters, and using the interface, are performed with the mouse, while the keyboard provides quick access to windows, shortcuts, and commands.

Mouse Controls

The mouse is used for movement, camera control, interacting with characters and NPCs, and managing items.

Movement

Walking
  • Left-click on any reachable tile to move your character.
  • Hold the left mouse button to continue moving toward your cursor.
  • Tiles highlighted in red cannot be reached.

Camera Controls

The camera can be adjusted freely to improve your view of the surrounding area.

Rotate Camera
  • Hold the Right Mouse Button and move the mouse left or right to rotate the camera around your character.
Zoom
  • Scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out.
  • If your mouse does not have a scroll wheel, hold Ctrl + Right Mouse Button while moving the mouse up or down.
Change Camera Height
  • Hold Shift while scrolling the mouse wheel to raise or lower the camera angle.
  • Hold Ctrl + Shift while scrolling to access an even lower viewing angle.
Reset Camera
  • Double right-click to reset the camera so it faces north.

Depending on the situation, the available options may include:

  • Trade
  • Private Message
  • Friend Request
  • Party Invitation
  • Guild Invitation
  • View Equipment
  • Send Mail
  • Reject Whispering

Some options may only appear if certain requirements are met.

Item and Skill Information

Right-click an item or skill to open its description window.

This window displays detailed information such as effects, requirements, equipment restrictions, and other useful details.

  • Hold Shift and left-click an item to insert a clickable item link into chat.
  • Hold Ctrl and right-click an unidentified item while carrying a Magnifier to identify it.

Drag and Drop

Many interface actions support drag-and-drop.

You can drag items between:

  • Inventory
  • Equipment
  • Storage
  • Trade Window
  • The Ground

Skills can also be dragged onto the shortcut bar for faster access.

Info

If drag-and-drop stops working while equipping items, close the Equipment window and try again.

Auto Follow

To automatically follow another player:

  • Hold Shift and right-click the target character.

Your character will continue following until you attack, use a targeted skill, or manually move elsewhere.

Note

Auto Follow only works when both /noctrl and /noshift are disabled.

Battle Mode

Battle Mode expands the number of available hotkeys by allowing almost every keyboard key to activate shortcuts instead of relying only on F1-F9.

To enable or disable Battle Mode, enter:

/bm

or

/battlemode

When Battle Mode is active, additional keyboard keys become available for skills, items, and equipment shortcuts.

When Battle Mode is enabled, the chat input is no longer active by default. Press Enter before typing a message, otherwise your key presses may activate skills or items instead.

The chat window displays a colored border while Battle Mode is active, making it easy to tell when the mode is enabled.

Tip

Battle Mode is especially useful for classes that rely on many skills or frequent equipment switching.

Battle Mode Keys

Battle Mode assigns shortcut slots across multiple sections of the keyboard.

Keys Function
1-9, 0, -, = Primary shortcut keys
Q-P Additional shortcut keys
A-L Additional shortcut keys
Z-M Additional shortcut keys

The exact layout may vary depending on your client settings.

Press F12 to switch between available shortcut bars.

You can drag the following onto any shortcut slot:

Many players create separate shortcut bars for leveling, MVP hunting, PvP, or support gameplay.

Macros

Macros provide a quick way to use emotes, preset messages, and supported in-game commands without typing them repeatedly.

Press Alt + M to open the Macros window.

By default, the Alt + 0 through Alt + 9 shortcuts are assigned to standard emotes. You can replace these entries with:

Common uses include:

  • Party recruitment
