Summary: Fishing is a life skill activity that allows players to catch various types of fish. Fish can be used as healing items, exchanged for Fishing Points, or traded with other players.
Location
Talk to Captain Anglero to learn the Fishing activity.

Learning Fishing
To start fishing, Captain Anglero will ask you to collect the following materials:
- 5 Trunks
- 10 Tentacles
These materials will be used to craft you a Wooden Rod.

After collecting the required items, talk to him again to receive a tutorial on how the Fishing system works.

Note
- Requires Base Level 30.
- Fishing is an account-wide activity. You only need to complete the quest once.
- The Wooden Rod and Graphite Rod can be stored in Kafra Storage.
Fishing Spots
Fishing spots are divided into 3 categories:
- Freshwater - Easy difficulty
- Saltwater - Medium difficulty
- Deepwater - Hard difficulty
These categories determine the difficulty level of fishing and type of fish in each area.
Freshwater and Saltwater fishing spots can be found in many field maps throughout the world, while Deepwater spots are usually located inside dungeons. Players can also try the Fishing Simulator located next to Captain Anglero to learn and practice the fishing mechanics before fishing in the wild.

Warning
- You cannot attack while a Fishing Rod is equipped.
Upgrading Fishing Rods
You can upgrade your Wooden Rod into a Graphite Rod by spending 1000 Fishing Points.
The Graphite Rod can also be refined to improve your fishing efficiency and make fishing easier.
- Each refine attempt costs 500 Fishing Points
- Refinement success is based on chance
- Higher refine levels have lower success rates
- Failed refinements will not destroy the rod

Exchanging Fishing Points
You can exchange fish for Fishing Points by talking to Santiago Fishing Points can be traded for valuable rewards, including exclusive items that are only available from this NPC.

- All items obtained from the Fishing Point exchange are account bound
- Fish can still be traded freely between players and can be consumed to restore HP or SP
- There are legendary fish in every spot. They can be exchange for huge amount of Fish Point

Fish Point determines the drop rate of fish. Lower points have a higher chance of being obtained.
